Sprints: Laurie Rice

Experience--16 years

Coach Rice was the first of three Fox sprint siblings to come through Fort Collins High School and they all made a great impact on the track program. She earned two 400 meter state titles and anchored state title 4x400 and 800m medley relays. She was also part of the first girls' State Championship team at FCHS (1999).

Coach Rice still holds two FCHS school records in the 100m and 200m sprints. She earned a full track scholarship to attend Penn State University. There, she was a two-time team captain, a member of the school record setting 4x100 meter team, and a part of the 4x100 meter relay that competed at the National Championship meet in 2003.

After graduating, she came back to Fort Collins where she has been coaching the Lambkins since 2004.
