Coach Tiana Song competed in the 100m and 300m hurdles at Antioch Community High School in Antioch, IL. Tiana earned multiple conference titles in the 300m hurdles and competed at the Illinois High School State Track and Field championships three times. After high school, Tiana continued her running career at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL and ran both the 800m and 400m hurdles. While running track, she also completed in Tae Kwon Do. Tiana is a Tae Kwon Do Master, and she holds a 5th degree Dan Kukkiwon Black Belt. She spent a good amount of her teens years competing at some of the most elite championships around the world in both sparring and poomsae. Her competing years from 1994-2001 led her to the U.S. Open, U.S. National Poomsae Championships, Pan Am Championships, Korea Open, and 2000 Olympic Team trials. After having success in both sports as a teenager and young adult, she decided to coach.
Tiana started coaching high school track and field in 2006 at Lakes Community High School. She coached jumps and hurdles in Illinois for 5 years. Tiana and her husband, Anthony, moved to Colorado in 2001. Tiana spent one year coaching Track and Field at Twin Peaks Academy in Longmont, CO. She is currently a Master instructor at U.S. Tae Kwon Do College in Fort Collins. She is ecstatic to join the Lambkin track team for a 2nd season! She is also a teacher in the Language Arts department at Fort Collins High School.
